About Plentiful Harvest

Plentiful Harvest is a nonprofit organization that addresses food insecurity in the City of Houston; it embarked on its mission in February 2022. Initially, our focus was on distributing fresh, healthy, organic, and vegan foods to recipients once a month.  From February to July 2022, we consistently provided sustenance to approximately 50 to 100 families each month. The tangible impact on these individuals' health and quality of life underscored the importance of our mission.

 

In August 2022, recognizing the growing need, we took a monumental step forward. Our outreach efforts surged, enabling us to serve around 1000 families monthly. This expansion spoke to the issue's urgency and underscored the community's trust in our commitment. Moving forward, Plentiful Harvest has transitioned to a biweekly distribution model, ensuring a more frequent and sustained provision of fresh food to those in need.

Vision

Plentiful Harvest envisions communities where everyone can access sufficient nutritious food, health education, and financial literacy. We believe healthy and informed individuals can create optimal outcomes for themselves and their communities.
